As a practicing Artist and Art therapist, my desire for emotion, thought and lived experience is important to be expressed. Whether for myself or by facilitating this for others. I consider my style to be quite immediate in nature. My art practice is a very self-informative process whereby I use what is stirring within my conscious and unconscious mind to guide me toward what needs to come through creatively in my immediate world.
I am a mixed media artist enjoying abstract painting, lino-cut, sewing, screen printing, ceramics, collage and do not feel limited by many a modality. I hope to engage the viewer in an emotional and reflective response to my work; for there to be a sense of personal connection to the deeper layers within, to encourage an integration of what can be quite a clunky, sometimes painful, also fun and equally beautiful world in which we live.
